What we do

We improve lives through vocational education

  • Cadet Vocational College was founded in 2001 to provide vocational qualifications to young people and their adult instructors who are members of a cadet or uniformed youth organisation
  • Our head office is based in Camberley, Surrey and we have a team of staff who support our learners throughout the UK
What does Cadet Vocational College do?

Put simply, we improve lives through vocational education by providing qualifications that validate the experience and skills young people and their adult instructors practice every day in cadet and uniformed youth organisations such as the Army Cadets, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, Combined Cadet Force, Sea Cadets, St John Ambulance, Fire Cadets, The Boys’ Brigade, and Scouts.

Our qualifications, accredited by Pearson BTEC, ILM, and City & Guilds, are recognised by colleges, universities, and employers. So when our learners include a qualification from Cadet Vocational College on their CVs, it demonstrates that they possess the key skills, knowledge, and personal qualities sought in areas such as teamwork, leadership, and management.

Being involved with CVQO has broadened my horizons beyond the bounds of inner city London where I grew up. The interview practice and feedback that constituted part of the CVQO-led BTEC curriculum provided me with a foundation that I used in preparation for my interview at the University of Cambridge.
