What we do

Cadet Vocational College is a UK-based vocational education charity and learning provider

  • Cadet Vocational College was founded in 2001 to provide vocational qualifications to members of UK youth groups and their adult volunteer instructors.
  • Our head office is based in Camberley, Surrey, but we have a team of staff who look after our learners from all around the UK
What does Cadet Vocational College do?

Put simply, we recognise the skills young people and adult instructors practice every day in organisations such as the MOD Cadet Forces (think Army Cadet Force, Sea Cadet Corps, RAF Air Cadets, Combined Cadet Force) and accredit them with vocational qualifications. We work with all sorts of uniformed youth groups, as well as schools and colleges.

These are typically focused on areas such as public services, adventurous training, music, teamwork, leadership and management.

These qualifications, accredited by Pearson BTEC, ILM and City & Guilds can be used to boost CVs, gain places in higher education or secure employment.

The best thing about our qualifications is that they are more often than not delivered at no cost to the learner. And where there is a registration fee, it’s heavily subsidised and much more affordable than studying directly.

Being involved with CVQO has broadened my horizons beyond the bounds of inner city London where I grew up. The interview practice and feedback that constituted part of the CVQO-led BTEC curriculum provided me with a foundation that I used in preparation for my interview at the University of Cambridge.
