Lou joined Cadet Vocational College in 2017 and currently serves as our Business Development Manager for the North.
With 18 years of dedicated service in Cheshire Army Cadet Force, Lou has held a wide range of leadership and training roles including Detachment Commander, Company Training Officer, Company Staff Officer, Company Commander, County Training Officer, and Assistant Commandant. These roles have not only shaped her as a leader but also given her extensive experience in youth development, training delivery, and operational management.
Lou’s career background spans over two decades and includes diverse roles in the training, education, and leisure sectors. She has worked as an outdoor education instructor, team leader within local government, and held managerial positions across the leisure sector. Most recently, prior to joining Cadet Vocational College, Lou worked as a Training Adviser and Assessor, delivering apprenticeships and NVQs in Management and Professional Services.
Although Lou didn’t take the traditional university route, she has consistently invested in her professional development, gaining a number of industry-recognised qualifications. These include:

Outside of work, Lou enjoys getting away in her campervan to make the most of the outdoors – walking, paddleboarding, and embracing new adventures whenever possible.
