Kevin Hay

Kevin joined the Royal Navy at the age of 16 in 1976 as a Seaman Operator.

He served for 32 years holding various education and training positions before retiring as a Chief Petty Officer in 2012. After leaving the Royal Navy Kevin became the Performance Boxing Coach at City Academy, Bristol.

Kevin joined CVQO in 2013 as a Schools Partnership Project Instructor, then Educational Advisor for Level 3 Sport and a Curriculum Support Assistant before embarking on his new role as Curriculum Manager for BTEC Level 1 and BTEC Level 2 Fire and Rescue Service in November 2020.

Kevin’s main hobbies include coaching amateur boxers of all ages, being a Level 4 England Boxing Advanced Coach and representing England as a coach on more than 16 occasions. He is also an England Boxing Coach Educator and an England Boxing Talent Pathway Coach.
