Ian Peaple

Ian’s educational journey began at Corsham Comprehensive School. At the age of 12, he joined the Army Cadet Force (ACF), where he rose through the ranks to become Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM). At 16, Ian left school to join the Regular Army but was medically discharged shortly after. He then studied Engineering at Chippenham Technical College before rejoining the military, only to be medically discharged again.

This led Ian to pursue a diverse career in management, gaining experience in outdoor pursuits, hospitality and catering. He later founded his own business, specialising in delivering teamwork and communication training in schools.

With over 30 years of service to the ACF, including 28 years with the Wiltshire Army Cadet Force, Ian has held various leadership roles. His notable achievements include delivering adult training for the King George VI Leadership Course and Army Cadet Initial Officer Training.

Ian joined Cadet Vocational College in November 2013, where he has made significant contributions to key initiatives such as the Schools Partnership Project, City & Guilds support, and the coordination of Education and Training and ILM programs. Since September 2023, Ian has served as the ILM Level 3 Curriculum Manager.

Ian holds a Level 7 City & Guilds qualification in Leadership and Management and is a proud member of the Institute of Leadership.
