Our qualification pathways

ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management

Build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to lead effectively. Our ILM qualification supports volunteers who manage people, projects or activities, helping them develop practical leadership skills that can be applied both within their volunteer role and their professional career.

Ideal for: Team leaders, officers, senior instructors and volunteers with leadership responsibilities.

City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Education and Training

Designed for those who deliver training, instruction or learning activities, this qualification provides a recognised foundation in teaching and learning. You’ll develop practical skills in planning, delivery, assessment and learner engagement.

Ideal for: Instructors, trainers, assessors and volunteers who teach or support learning.

Professional Recognition Awards (PRAs)

Professional Recognition Awards recognise the valuable skills, expertise and experience you have already developed. Rather than focusing on learning new skills, PRAs provide an opportunity to gain formal recognition for your professional practice and achievements.

My experience gained as a Contingent Commander in the CCF will not always be understood by a potential employer but a Level 7 qualification from City & Guilds via CVQO will be universally understood and valued.

I firmly believe the qualifications offered by CVQO are the most valuable opportunities the cadet organisation provide to its adult volunteers.
