Cadet Vocational College supports DfES new Skills for Life campaign

We are pleased to support the Department for Education’s new Skills for Life campaign

Skills for Life

The campaign ‘It all starts with skills’ inspires young people, adults and businesses to take actions to make the most of their potential by pursuing new qualification and training opportunities.

So whether you’re growing a business, switching career or just starting out, the campaign aims to motivate and provide people with the tools to make informed choices, and gain the skills and qualifications they need to progress.

Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education, Robert Halfon, said:

“Throughout my political career, I have championed apprenticeships and skills, driven by an unwavering passion to ensure we are providing a ladder of opportunity to everyone across the country.”

The campaign directs people to the new Skills for Careers website where they can find out more about different skills, training options and where those choices can lead in terms of careers.

To find out more about the campaign, search “Skills for Life” or visit https://skillsforlife.campaign.gov.uk

Cadet Vocational College led qualifications recognise the skills and knowledge that young people and their adult instructors develop in such organisations as the Army Cadets, Royal Air Force Air Cadets, Combined Cadet Force, Sea Cadets, St John Ambulance, Fire Cadets, Boys Brigade and Scouts.

Colleges, universities and employers recognise our qualifications, so when our learners include on their CV’s that they have achieved a qualification with Cadet Vocational College, they can see that our learners have the key skills and knowledge in areas such as teamwork and leadership, as well as the personal qualities that they are looking for.

Our courses are designed to be fun, interactive and engaging through a flexible approach to learning. Put simply, our qualifications are tailored to the individual and can be structured to fit in around schoolwork and other responsibilities with the support of our dedicated teaching and learning team.

The best thing about our qualifications is that more often than not, our courses are delivered at no cost to the learner; and where there is a fee to pay, this will be more affordable with Cadet Vocational College than compared to other education providers.
