BTEC Level 2 Award/Certificate in Fire and Rescue Services in the Community

What is it and what will I learn?

The BTEC Level 2 in Fire and Rescue Services in the Community is a vocational qualification developed in collaboration with the UK Fire Cadets and recognises the key skills young people practice while progressing through the Fire Cadets National Syllabus.

The BTEC Level 2 Award is mapped to the national Fire Cadet Awards 1 and 2.

Learners can expect to study units involving:

  • Teamwork and leadership skills used in the Emergency Services
  • Careers related to the Fire and Rescue Service
  • Functions and responsibilities of the Fire and Rescue Services in the Community
  • Casualty Extrication in the Fire and Rescue Service

The qualification not only encourages Fire Cadets to develop their skills, but is also an ideal platform for a career in the Emergency Services.
