We are pleased to announce that nominations for the 2025 Westminster Award are now open! If you know of a young person who deserves recognition, now is the time to put them forward.
We are looking for exceptional young people who are already good cadets but who also have additional qualities that would make them a Westminster Award winner. These could include:
- A selfless, determined individual who always keeps their head up and remains positive
- An inspiring character who truly makes a difference to the lives of those around them
- A person who is resilient and exhibits compassion, is caring and supportive, inclusive and respectful
- An individual who is involved in their community, social action or volunteering
- Someone who may have overcome a personal challenge and has needed to work harder to achieve their goals
As previously, cadets can now nominate other cadets for the Westminster Award, but their nomination MUST be endorsed by a CFAV. And your nominee MUST have completed at least Unit 1 of their Cadet Vocational College-led BTEC Level 2 qualification in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community (this is a minimum requirement).
The whole process is online, so all you have to do is fill in the form on the website and hit submit.
With a selection event in Somerset, a thrilling final expedition and lunch at the House of Lords on offer, the Westminster Award is a truly life-changing experience not to be missed!
