Richard joined CVQO in 2010 having previously been a Warrant Officer Class 1 (WO1) in the Army, serving in The Band of The Life Guards, and at the Royal Military School of Music.
He joined CVQO as an Operations Manager to oversee Level 2 & 3 Music BTEC. In 2015, he became the CVQO Southern Area Manager, until moving to his current role in 2021. He is responsible for client relationships with CVQOs partner organisations, involving management and training of Adult Volunteers and Civilian Staff in the delivery of vocational qualifications ranging from BTEC Level 1 to City and Guilds Level 7 qualifications, but primarily CVQO’s Level 2 BTEC in Teamwork and Personal Development (TPD).
Richard lives in Kent and is married with two children. He is a keen horseman and skier. Since joining CVQO, Richard continues to perform as a clarinettist and conductor with the Royal Yeomanry Band in the Army Reserve. He is also a Trustee for the Regimental Association.
